The project picker

A project federates one or more connected repos so you can work their Goals, specs, tickets, ideas, and decisions in one place. The picker is the first thing you see, and where you switch between projects and create new ones.

The picker is the Projects page. The rinkata wordmark in the header returns you to it from anywhere.

Picking a project

Each project shows as a tile with its callsign, name, description, and source, github: owner/repo or local: /path. Click a tile to open it in its main screen (Ideas · Work · Complete · Knowledge).

Creating a project

Click New project. The dialog has two source modes:

GitHub repo: pick a repo the rinkata GitHub App can see so Hub can associate project truth with source code.
Local path: point at a working directory for local development context.

Name is required; description and callsign are optional. The callsign is a short tag (e.g. HUB) shown on the tile and breadcrumb.

Connecting GitHub

If your workspace hasn't installed the rinkata GitHub App yet, tenant admins see a Connect GitHub banner. Installing it and granting repo access is what populates the "GitHub repo" list in the New project dialog. Until then that list is empty and you can only create local-path projects.

Completing project setup

Open a project whose repo is not connected yet and Hub offers to finish setup. Goals, specs, tickets, ideas, and decisions live in Hub and appear as you create them.

Switching projects

Open a different project from the picker, or click the rinkata wordmark to go back to the list. Your per-project context, which panel you were on, is remembered per project.

Archive a project

Tenant admins archive a project from Admin → Projects. Type the project name, then Accept. Those are two stages. The project leaves the picker. Restore is on that same Admin table until Hub permanently deletes the project later.

This project will leave the workspace list. You can restore it from Admin until Hub permanently deletes it. That deletion will happen later.
